KGI’s Mingchi Kuo has suggested in a note to investors that the mystery of the apparent delay in the iPhone launching on the world’s largest carrier, China Mobile, may be due to last-minute renegotiations with Apple on volume discounts across the two new models. The implication here appears to be that China Mobile agreed separate volume breaks with Apple for both iPhone 5c and 5s, expecting demand for the 5c to be significantly higher....

Cyberpunk 2077’s first-person focus is the right choice for CD Projekt Red’s upcoming open-world RPG title, according to level designer Max Pears. Cyberpunk 2077 made headlines recently by announcing that almost all of the game would be locked into first-person view, including most of the game’s cutscenes. The popular Darkroom photo editing app for iPhone and iPad has been updated this weekend with major under-the-hood performance improvements. This includes a rebuilt depth engine, RAW editing improvements, and much more. The Darkroom developers say that the rendering engine has been rebuilt to “dramatically improve the performance, stability, and reliability” of photo editing in the app. The year-long process impacted 50% of the Darkroom code, bringing improvements to performance throughout many features in the app....

The Epic Games versus Apple dispute is not the David versus Goliath battle the game developer wants people to believe, said the Cupertino company: It is instead a battle of two Goliaths.
