Despite record sales of 5 million units for the iPhone 5’s debut weekend, Apple is apparently facing shortages that, according to analysts, kept the company from selling as many as 8 million to 10 million new iPhones at launch. According to reports from earlier today, Apple’s new in-cell display technology is likely to blame, with suppliers LG, Japan Display, and Sharp having difficulties meeting demand. Both retailers in the U.S. and Apple already confirmed that initial supplies are sold out, while pre-orders are being pushed to an unknown date in October....

French site iGen has posted what it claims are screenshots from Foxconn, which – if genuine – confirm a number of details from earlier reports, and to reveal the dimensions of prototypes of both iPhone 6 models. The screenshots appear to be fuller versions of the raised camera schematic posted by Apple Club Taiwan a couple of days ago. It should be noted that there is no way to know when these prototypes were created (though some photos appear to date back to February), and that dimensions of the production model could change....

McFarlane Toys has released details about three new Cyberpunk 2077 figures, including two action figures and one statue. Terminator: Dark Fate finally admitted the biggest secret of the entire Terminator franchise: that John Connor isn’t the real hero; Sarah is. 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate was more or less a hard reset for the franchise. It writes off a good portion of the films in the series while making a few much needed retcons in the name of continuity. None appear more controversial to die-hard fans than the changes made to John Connor and his relevancy to the story, which for this film were tossed by the wayside....
